Indigenous People Project

  1. My first step was to find out what I wanted to write down according to the competence aims of the topic. I then briefly wrote down information about the three indigenous people that I was going to present in my photo story. The next step was to search pictures on Google that I thought were probably good enough to match with my texts. Before I started importing pictures and texts, I had to download music from youtube.com. The songs/sounds were related to the people I was presenting. At this level, things seemed to be going well and faster. But when I started transferring pictures and adding texts while editing, it was difficult to decide which colours I should choose. I actually used some hours only for revising my work. About information, I had enough about the Aboriginals, just few about The Maori so I had to mostly look for information about Native Americans. I used Wikipedia, ndla.no and our Study Book Stunt because I believed that they were the certain sources. Besides, I read some articles in different websites. I also used I finger to diversify my language; it was really important as I happened to learn a couple of new words. While writing down different facts about these people, I learnt more than I expected. Since it was my first time to use photostory3, editing was a challenge. I am quite satisfied with my final result, although I could have done a better presentation than this. I am contented that I acquired knowledge of a new learning strategy .In fact, I am pleased greatly that we had to use this new method; it seemed to be more effective in my point of view. One thing is that I think my presentation was a bit long and some of the texts are not clear but in general, things went the way I planned.
