Earthquake in Iran

Earthquake - Iran

It was an earthquake in Iran, Tuesday 9. April 2013. 37 people were killed, and 850 people injured in the 6.1 magnitude quake. Around 100 of the injured people needed hospital treatment. The quake stroke in south-east Iran, nearby the Bushehr nuclear plant.

Bushehr, Iran
At least three strong aftershocks struck the same area in the hour after the quake. in addition to more than 80 aftershocks.
The earthquake could be felt across the Persian Gulf in Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, where some buildings in Abu Dhabi were evacuated and some businesses sent their employees home for the day.

The damage that earthquakes with magnitudes of 6.0 to 6.9 can produce varies widely. Near the epicenter, quakes on the lower to middle parts of that range could leave negligible to slight damage in buildings of good design, and considerable to great damage. The Earthquake in Iran 9.April ruined twelve villages completely
and other places were also affected. Terrified

survivors had to spend the night in the open.

Even though it was a huge and devastating quake nearby Bushehr, where Iran's only nuclear station lies, it was not damaged or affected by the quake at all.

It has been ten big earthquakes in the world. Number one had a magnitude at 9,5, and it was the biggest in the world. It stroke in Southern Chile, May 22, 1960.
Number ten had a magnitude at 8,6 and it took place in Assam/Tibet, August 15, 1950.

USA, factor in the earthquake? Why do they care?

Because of USA's emission of O2 they feel like it is their responsibility to take care and inform the world about cataclysms all around the world, like the one in Iran.  They have it as topic to warn other people to take care of the environment in the world. This we can do by doing small changes in our own lives, like spear showers and bicycling to places, which can eventually prevent to huge changes in other peoples life.

USA also feels like a "world police" and they are therefore concerned about the nuclear power station, and what consequences it could lead to. We do not need a repetition of the Tchernobyl accident that affected many people and caused a lot of damage, which still is an issue in some places.

In our opinion everybody needs to be more aware of what they are doing and take act in the environmental issues on a daily basis, and not just once in a while.
