Paris-Saint-Germain shook the Champions League title favourite....

Many expected the Catalons triumph on their home ground

The game between the Spanish giant, FC Barcelona and the leader of the French League 1 PSG, was played on the Nou Camp, Barcelonas home ground. Millions of football fans around the world were impatiently waiting for the battle of the semi final ticket between the two clubs in the second leg of the UCL clash. The two teams drawn 2-2 in their first leg in Paris one week ago. The hometeam needed just a draw to qualify for the next level, and this was not an easy task.

The first half ended zero zero between the two teams. This meant that the home team was advantageous as they only needed a draw to proceed to the next level. PSG defenders were having many problems as Barcas squad was not as usual. Zlatan and co were very comfortable with the ball and created many chances before the break. Lucas Maura, the Brasilian talent was as dangerous for Barcas side as it happened in the first leg in Parc-De-Prince.

It took 50 minutes for the visitors to score the first goal of the game. With a wonderfull display of the Swedish captain, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Pastore (On the right) did not make a mistake as he chipped the ball into the nett after beating three barcas defenders and the goalkeeper.

Messi started on the bench as expected by many. This was due to the injury he got on the first leg game. According to the British News Paper, the Telegraph.co.uk. The arrival of the 4 times  FIFA world player in the pitch on the 62 nd minutes of the game replacing Cesc Fabregas, changed the atmosphere of the game. He was more involved in the attack and caused problems to the PSGs side with his unnormal speed with the ball on his foot.

On the 64th minutes, as the result of the arrival of Messi in the pitch, Barca got an equalizer. the goal came after a good combination between Messi and David Villa. Pedro scored after getting the ball from David Villa.

The game ended (1-1) and Barcelona passed to the semi final on aggregate(3-3), on the advantage of the away goals. After the game, Lionel Messi was praised by his teammates for his contribution on that spesial night."We knew that for us to have Leo on the pitch was really important. He is our reference, he can score, he can pass, he can do everything and he helps us a lot" Gerrard Pique told the Skysports news. Messis influence on  Barcas passage to the semi final, revealed a lot on how the team relays on him. It shows how important he really is for Barcelona.
